On February 11, 2010 Women’s Council of Realtors hosted a breakfast at the Stark County Association of Realtors at 9:00 AM.

As you will remember we had to trudge thru the snow to get there, but were well informed about our economic forecast .

Kay Feagles, Certified Financial Planner with Raymond James Financial was our guest speaker.

We were given many statistics about the future and were guided to think about our own personal future as well as our business life.

Did you know women in the USA control approximately 72% of the wealth today? Also, you may find it interesting to think that Social Security may not be around forever and that you need to plan each week to contribute to your individual retirement fund.

The eye opener is that most people plan for a vacation more intently than their future retirement. We have all been there when the beach was calling and made list after list of things we were going to bring. Would we take a car or fly? Would we stay in a hotel, or rent a house on the beach? But how much thought have we given to the IRA or investment fund we may want to have flourishing for us when we hit that magic age of retirement?

Well they say Realtors never retire, they just get LISTLESS!

Retiring or growing listless without social security to assist in retiring is not a pretty site, so her advice is to make a plan and start working it!
